Final Moments at Moyo Hill Camp

Tanzania

Life has been more than busy at Moyo Hill these last three weeks because of the students’ Directed Research projects. However, students are now finishing up their final write ups. Next week will be a sad and very hard week because we will be forced to say good-bye to our lovely students. But before that sad moment arrives, our neighbors, collaborators and stakeholders will be invited to Moyo Hill Camp for Community Presentations where they will get to learn about and discuss the students’ research findings. Students conducted research on diverse topics relating to wildlife conservation, ecology, and environmental policy in the Tarangire-Manyara ecosystem. During the Community Presentations the students will share their observations, discoveries, and proposed solutions to the affected communities.

Only a couple of days after the Community Presentations, the Fall 2015 semester will come to an end and the students will pack their bags and leave Tanzania and fly back to their homes in the US.

I would like to say thank you to all SFS staff, faculty and management for doing a great job making this semester run smoothly.

Lastly, I am grateful to our lovely students. We have been living together as one family with love, harmony and peace and you have brought unforgettable memories to our lives.

Goodbye students. Goodbye Fall 2015 semester.
