About

Staff Profile

I fell in love with the ocean world at a young age and was always seeking out ways to get in or near the water. I grew up in Connecticut with a family of divers and instructors and knew it was something that I wanted to do as well and got my open water scuba certification when I was 15. As I moved up in the dive world I grew a larger fond for being underwater and got my Open Water Scuba Instructor certification while in college and worked during the summers in the Caribbean for Broadreach. There, I learned that I not only loved being in the water, but I also loved teaching and continuing to learn about the marine world. After I graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY I moved to The Bahamas and worked on Forfar Field Station on the beautiful island of Andros. There I worked as an Environmental Educator and Dive Instructor for two years and then as the Dive Operations Manager and Education Coordinator for a year. Coming to the Turks and Caicos I continue to see how much there is to learn about what is around us. As a Waterfront Assistant, I love seeing Eagle Rays and any inverts while diving and I have also fallen in love in corals and looking at coral health. I am so excited to be part of the SFS family and learn from so many amazing staff and faculty.
