Hello! My name is Anna and I’m the Health and Wellness Manager for SFS’s Cambodia center! I was born and raised in Hong Kong, where I fell in love with being outdoors & enjoying the mixture of urban life and subtropical jungle. When I was 14, I moved to the United States to attend Concord Academy in Concord, Massachusetts, followed by Brandeis University, where I studied Studio Art and Environmental Studies. I did my undergraduate thesis work on the intersection of iconography & nature and produced a body of oil paintings.
I studied abroad as a student with SFS in the Spring of 2020 in Bhutan, and although my experience was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, it was a formative and unforgettable part of my college life. Outside of academics, I was involved in the Brandeis Quidditch team, the Brandeis Fencing team, and the Office of Study Abroad. Since graduation, I have worked in outdoor education, spending a season in Leadville, Colorado, teaching science and leading backpacking trips through the mountains and canyons of the American West, as well as teaching ecology in Costal Maine.
My personal interests include painting & drawing, playing the guitar, enjoying my hammock on a spring afternoon, exploring neighborhoods in Siem Reap, and early morning swims. I’m excited to meet incoming SFS students to help facilitate an experience that is meaningful, safe, and fun!
