Siem Reap, Cambodia
“My name is Chhouk Roat has been living in Siem Reap for twenty years. I graduated from high school in 2018 and started my bachelor’s degree at Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) in early 2019. During high school, I was interested in math, chemistry, and biology. Currently, I am a senior who is majoring in International Relations (IR). I never thought that IR would become my field of study. When I started to learn foundation year at PUC, I was attracted to the IR major which covers lots of subjects related to social sciences.
I used to focus on education in class only. Becoming an intern at SFS Cambodia is a huge opportunity for me to gain experience and develop myself. While working with SFS, I learn many things outside of what I’ve been learning in school, such as environmental education, culture, conservation, etc. In addition, I have the opportunity to interact and learn from all the colleagues at SFS as well.
During my spare time I like to listen to music, watch movies, spend time with my close friends, and read books that help with self-improvement.”
