My name is Erin and I was born and raised in southwestern Ohio. I went to college close by at Miami University. While earning my Bachelors of Science in Biology, I was lucky enough to spend a summer in Tanzania with SFS studying wildlife. After a wonderful time in Tanzania learning about the wildlife and interacting with the people there, I was eager to travel more before graduation. I spent the next summer in South Africa supporting wildlife conservation efforts, a cause close to my heart, by rehabilitating African penguins and other seabirds. After earning my degree, I spent another year at Miami earning a Masters in Environmental Science. I continued to support wildlife, this time closer to home, at a wildlife sanctuary and rehabilitation center in Indiana. Always a wildlife enthusiast, you can often spot me with a pair of binoculars trying to spot birds and other fauna. I am excited to be a part of the SFS team at the Center for Rainforest Studies to help the students have an unforgettable experience!
