B.S. in Environmental Science
University of Redlands (CA, USA)
Peter was born and raised in the Bay Area, but migrated down to Southern California where he recently graduated from the University of Redlands with a B.S. in Environmental Science. He focused his studies on conservation, ecology, and spatial sciences, while also taking the opportunity to attend a tropical ecology class in Costa Rica. That trip sparked his love for travel and new cultural experiences, which eventually led him to SFS. During his junior year at Redlands, Peter was fortunate enough to spend a semester in East Africa with SFS studying wildlife management and conducting research on spatial ecology and habitat fragmentation. The experience was powerful and humbling in many ways.
Peter led trips through his college’s outdoor programs, gaining invaluable experience in environmental and outdoor education. This last year Peter served as one of the program interns in Costa Rica, through which he was able to further his experience with experiential education and aid in the overall support of the program. His time abroad has shown him that traveling and studying in other countries is an integral part of the human experience, and he hopes that others are able to share in those experiences as well.
Peter can’t wait to share his passion and energy with the students and community in Cambodia!
