Sarah is a recent graduate of Penn State University, where she studied Early Childhood Education. During her time at Penn State, she had the opportunity to study abroad not one, but three times, as well as once in high school. She studied in Rome, taught English in Costa Rica, and participated in the SFS Marine Megafauna program in the Turks and Caicos (Summer 2022 Session 2) and in high school she studied in Munich, Germany. I love traveling and exploring the world around me and as the Health and Wellness Manager, I hope that I can make sure students have an experience they will never forget.
During her time at Penn State, she had the amazing opportunity to lead backpacking trips in and around Rothrock and Black Moshannon with a program called Aurora helping students make the transition from high school to college, while also teaching hard and soft skills.
This program made her realize the love for outdoor education and lead her to want to further pursue working in the natural world.
“In my time abroad, I found a love for diving and obtained my advanced open water certification, as well as my Nitrox certification. As well as diving, I also enjoy hiking, painting, travel spending time with friends and anything and everything outdoors! I hope that I can make sure students have an experience they will never forget”
