Staff Profile

Hi! My name is Sarah, and I am the Health and Wellness Manager in Chile. I am a recent graduate from Penn State University, where I graduated with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. During my time at Penn State, I was able to participate in, and lead backpacking programs for incoming freshmen for four years, and I also had the chance to volunteer at an outdoor school for fifth graders in the surrounding area. After this, I fell in love with the idea of being outdoors, and I knew that I wanted to pursue a non-traditional path in education and see the world and learn along the way.

Along with my love of the outdoors, I have always loved to travel, and I was lucky enough to study in Munich, Rome, Atenas and Turks and Caicos. I made so many memories and had unforgettable experiences, but I knew I wanted to return to work with SFS. During my time in Turks and Caicos with SFS, I had the opportunity to participate in the Marine Megafauna program in the Summer of 2022. I had an incredible experience where I was able to fall even more in love with diving and the natural world and I hope to help students have as great of an experience that I was able to and foster their passions.

In my free time I enjoy traveling, SCUBA diving, painting, and hiking.
