B.A. in Theology and Spanish
Whitworth University (WA, USA)
Travis was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. He then went on to study at Whitworth University in Spokane, WA, and had his first extensive study abroad experience in Central America in 2008. Ever since, he has been living and working or travelling between Latin America and the United States.
He worked at Whitworth University’s Costa Rica Center from 2011-2013, facilitating cross cultural programs for university students and establishing a campus sustainability program that included organic fruit and vegetable production, compost production and egg-laying chicken and ducks.
Travis has experienced the impact that cross-cultural learning has on students as global citizens, and wants to continue to facilitate those opportunities for other students. He enjoys the ways in which students can develop connections with people from different language, social, and ideological backgrounds while living abroad. As well, he is passionate about the reemerging awareness of organic and ecologically sound food production systems as they impact communities into living more holistically.
Travis enjoys sports, camping, bird watching, and eating delicious food.
