Funding the SFS Experience

Studying abroad is an investment in both education and professional development. Our alumni can attest to the value of an SFS program.

SFS strives to make study abroad affordable, but planning and budgeting is a critical step in the process. We recommend that students start early and plan ahead for their study abroad experience. We award over $650,000 in need-based scholarships and grants each year, and about 90% of students who apply for SFS aid receive it.  Learn more about SFS Financial Aid.

Study Abroad Programs are a Once-In-A-Lifetime Experience

“Study abroad programs in general are a once-in-a-lifetime experience that can have a tremendous impact on the development of young people. Having the opportunity to pursue a semester abroad as part of a field study program in my opinion magnifies the value. I have no doubt my son will look back on this experience as the most important semester of his education in shaping who he is and what he wants to do in the future.”
