Inspired by Conch
Turks and Caicos Islands
South Caicos has been an inspiration for me not only academically but artistically. I chose to do a drawing series on conch because Queen Conch (Lobatus gigas) are a large part of the life and history of South Caicos. Conch shells are abundant not only in the waters of South Caicos, but on the island as well. This inspired me to draw conch with different techniques and varying mediums to capture the uniqueness of the shells.
