Kevin Avalos has a bachelor’s in biology and recently graduated from University of Costa Rica (UCR). He was granted a DAAD scholarship to study and work in different labs at Ulm (Germany). He works as an academic assistant at CERES helping to deliver the Program, and supporting gardening, research, community activities, running errands and driving during field trips. He is a team player and helps translate the local culture to the students. His more immediate goals are to continue graduate studies in the USA or in Germany looking at the biological decomposition of plastics.
