I grew up in Seattle but currently live in Santa Rosa, CA where I work as a Senior Environmental Specialist at Recology, a large waste management company. In this role, I manage stormwater, hazardous waste, and air quality compliance and permitting across a range of industrial facilities, including transfer stations, landfills, and a new Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). I enjoy having a behind-the-scenes view of the waste industry and finding opportunities to advance recycling and sustainability efforts. I’m also pursuing an MBA in Sustainable Solutions at Presidio Graduate School, with the goal of transitioning into a corporate sustainability role.

After SFS, I continued to pursue biology field work through multiple positions, including studying grassland health on the Zumwalt Prairie in Oregon, conducting invasive insect studies on vineyards in California, and supporting forestry projects in the Jackson Demonstration Forest in Mendocino. While I spend more time in the office than the field nowadays, I continue to enjoy spending free time outside rock climbing, skiing, and gardening.
