Amy Souers Kober is a seasoned communications strategist and conservation advocate who leads the communications and marketing initiatives at American Rivers — a national organization dedicated to ensuring every river is clean and healthy for people and wildlife.
As Vice President of Communications, Amy oversees the organization’s communications and marketing strategy, media relations, digital presence, and brand positioning. Under her leadership, American Rivers has significantly expanded its reach and influence, connecting with audiences around shared values and inspiring action for positive change.
Throughout her career, Amy has successfully directed communications for numerous high-profile river restoration, protection, and clean water initiatives. She spearheads communications strategy for America’s Most Endangered Rivers®, one of the conservation community’s most influential and recognizable public engagement campaigns. Drawing from her experiences exploring rivers nationwide and collaborating with partners and local leaders, Amy brings passion and authenticity to her professional work that transcends traditional marketing.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. She lives in Portland, Oregon.
