My semester abroad in Kenya in 1991 studying Wildlife Management helped me achieve my first professional goal of becoming a small animal veterinarian. But more than that, it instilled a fierce love of Africa that has fueled my heart for decades.

After nearly 30 years of working in a variety of animal practices (including emergency, surgical referral, private as well as corporately owned practices) in the United States, I am now following the dream I started with SFS to work with wildlife in the African bush.

Nothing in this world makes me happier than being in Africa; SFS gave me that passion, for a lifetime! I am forever grateful!
