I am an educational coordinator at a small AZA (Association of Zoos & Aquariums) accredited zoo in western New York. I use my experience from my time at the Centre for Rainforest Studies in Australia to inspire people of all ages to care about the rainforest and other habitats. I have a BS in Zoology and a MS in Secondary Science Education. I have previously been a middle school science teacher.

I first learned about the School for Field Studies when I was a teen volunteer at the same zoo where I now work. A zookeeper was a SFS alumni and inspired me to go to the Centre for Rainforest Studies in Australia like she did. Now I oversee the volunteer organization at the same zoo, and I hope to pass it forward and inspire teens to become future SFS alumni.

Favorite SFS Memory: Waking up early to do bird censusing. Growing seedlings from seeds sprouting out of cassowary scat. Planting seedlings in the rainforest.
