Profile

Greg is a creative producer and leads strategy for numerous advertising, public outreach and education campaigns across the US. With a specialization in video production, he leverages visual storytelling as a means of bringing people together to communicate complex thoughts and ideas that pave the way for inclusivity, good governance, and sustainable change.

In 2020, Greg earned his graduate degree in Development Practice from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and that same year, Greg and his brothers David and Brian achieved a lifelong dream and launched a creative consulting agency, Francois Digital. Francois Digital is a collective of designers, writers, thinkers, and doers that create interactive, educational, and captivating digital experiences for governments, non-profits, and commercial brands alike.

Prior to all that, Greg was the Student Affairs Manager at both the Australia and Bhutan field centers. Greg still calls his time with SFS (in all capacities) some of the most transformative years of his life and early career. Largely by way of New England, New York City and Denver, Greg has steadily made his way west through the US over recent years and now lives in Mt. Shasta, California where he never misses an opportunity to explore new places, get outside, or see live music.

On a more personal note, I’m always keen to meet new folks and would love to connect with anyone, anytime. Please feel free to reach out (gwfrancois@gmail.com), especially if you’re passing through northern California / southern Oregon!

Favorite SFS MemoryAs a student: The first 24 hours upon landing at Kilimanjaro airport outside of Arusha, Tanzania. It was an adrenaline rush of new sensory experiences and meeting other giddy students. I distinctly remember landing on a cool night and driving an hour to Arusha for our first night at a hotel there. On the way to the center the next morning, we slowed down for a herd of giraffe crossing the road and that just blew me away. It only kept getting better from there!

As staff: Any opportunity I had to get to know other staff and their families outside of our work together. Some folks I still keep in touch with and others I would love to get back in touch with! So many of those times together are core memories for me.
