After completing my undergraduate degree in the US, I returned home to Cape Town, South Africa and now work on urban climate policy, supporting C40’s network of cities around the globe. C40 is a global network of mayors of the world’s leading cities that are united in action to confront the climate crisis. I will be spending 2025 in Madrid completing a master’s programme at the Norman Foster Institute on Sustainable Cities, researching and designing solutions for urban sustainability on the African continent.

I frequently refer back to lessons I learned during my time at the SFS Centre in Bhutan, where I gained not only essential perspectives for my work and research but also the privilege of meeting inspiring, thoughtful people at the Centre, in my cohort, and everywhere we went.
