Profile
I am a marine conservationist and graduate of Texas Tech University and SFS. After graduating with my bachelor’s degree in biology, I earned a master’s degree in environmental science and management with a specialization in Coastal Marine Resources Management from the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara, where I worked with Conservation International to complete an ecosystem services assessment of surf breaks in Brazil for my master’s thesis project.
After graduate school, I returned to SFS TCI to work as the Waterfront Assistant. There I enjoyed teaching fish and coral identification in the field, leading recreational dives and snorkels, and assisting with research projects such as marine debris assessment and invasive lionfish removal. I am currently working as the Coral Data Manager for The Reef Institute, where I am responsible for overseeing all of the organization’s data and grant reporting. I am passionate about protecting and restoring marine ecosystems worldwide for the benefit of communities that rely on them.
Favorite SFS Memory: Night diving at the Grotto. Truly unforgettable!
