Profile
As an Environmental Studies and Political Science major, I chose to study with SFS in Costa Rica during the summer— the best option since my involvement with the rowing team kept me on campus during the semester.
The relationships I created at SFS changed the course of my life and showed me that there is more to life than collegiate athletics. Instead of rowing in my final years at Gonzaga, I expanded my professional and academic network, focused on the activities I love, enhanced my friendships, and accepted a legislative internship working for the Senate Majority Leader in Olympia, Washington.
The internship allowed me to apply the community building skills I learned at Gonzaga and at SFS to my work serving Washingtonians in Olympia. This internship led to a full-time position that I have now been in for nearly 3 years. I am confident that I can thank SFS for cultivating my passion for community connection and excitement to grow to my fullest potential.
Favorite SFS Memory: The daily runs I went on with my roommate built a lifelong friendship and fostered my love of running.
