Profile

I am an undergraduate student at Colorado State University studying Zoology. I have a great passion for wildlife and the environment and often volunteer at the Denver Zoo in my free time, being a keeper assistant for bighorn sheep in the facility.

I have previously worked as a tour guide in the Gardens on Spring Creek Butterfly House and currently am a member of Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women. I currently work as a Peer Organizer at the Survivor Advocacy and Foundational Education Center on campus and lead my team in educating members of the community on interpersonal violence, sexual assault awareness, and healthy relationships though fun and interactive events and programs.

I also previously studied abroad in Australia, where I did research on marsupial conservation tactics in Alpine regions. The lessons and experience I gained from my SFS program in Kenya is some of the most valuable lessons I will carry with me through life, and having hands-on teaching from conservancies and park rangers to farmers out in the field, made the adventure so unique and rewarding. The memories I made in Kimana are priceless, and I cannot wait to work in a fieldwork environment again!

Favorite SFS Memory: Performing elephant count observations in Amboseli National Park and then being able to calculate population dynamics based on the data we gathered. It was not only an amazing hands-on field work experience, but it was also so gratifying to do that research with some of my closest friends!
