Profile

I am a behavioral ecologist interested in understanding how human disturbance impacts multi-use landscapes, particularly at the interface between large carnivores and pastoral communities, and how conservation technology can be used to facilitate human-wildlife coexistence. To better understand the mechanisms of these complex systems, we deploy large playback experiments to see how wildlife respond to different types of acoustic cues and use accelerometer collars to measure how target species respond behaviorally and energetically.

After studying abroad with SFS in Tanzania, I later worked as a Program Assistant with SFS in Australia. Both of these experiences played a significant role in my personal development and academic interests today.

Favorite SFS Memory: My favorite SFS memories came as a Program Assistant with SFS Australia. There is nothing more inspiring and rewarding than educating keen and passionate undergraduates, most often on their first trip to the field or abroad in general, and sharing in their learning experiences, personal growth, and academic achievements.
