Profile
Morgan is an ethnobotanist who works with smallholder farmers, investigating the use of crop diversity to adapt to climate change. His current research focuses on traditional grain mixtures in Ethiopia.
Favorite SFS Memory: SFS faculty introduced me to participatory research. I clearly remember interviewing farmers on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro about the impacts of elephants on their crop fields. It was the first time I really understood how important it is to engage local communities in conservation efforts and how much we could learn from listening.
