Hello! My name is Tessa and I’m an upcoming Senior at Mount Holyoke College. I have a major in Anthropology and a minor in Biology. I’ve completed a lot of work with animals over the years. SFS Tanzania reaffirmed my passion for animals, traveling, and learning about new people. It was an amazing experience that prepared me for the future and has grown my confidence ten-fold! I hope to continue what I learned after I graduate college and pursue my Masters. My big dream is to one day work with Orcas. Wish me luck!

Favorite SFS Memory: I had a lot of favorite memories, of course. The game drives were life-changing; what I didn’t expect was for one of my favorite memories to be from a waterfall hike. The views were beautiful the whole way. We were all laughing as we stumbled through the running water during the hike. When we made it to the waterfall, the water felt amazing! Behind the waterfall was a cave where other students, tourists, and locals sang Swahili songs with our full chests. We slapped the water with our fists making a mess of water, all of us splashing each other and jumping into the water. The best day ever!
