Tyler is a passionate advocate for sustainable aquaculture, working to ensure healthy oceans and seafood for generations to come. As Aquaculture Program Manager at the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch, he leads the strategic direction and technical expertise for assessing the environmental impact of global aquaculture.

With a Master’s in Coastal Resource Management and Entrepreneurship and years of practical hands-on experience, Tyler possesses a deep understanding of the ecological and economic dimensions of aquaculture. Beyond his expertise, his passion for food, sustainability, and the natural world manifests in everything he does – Tyler is also an avid home cook, seafood smoker, and fly fisherman.

Favorite SFS Memory: There are a ton. Playing dominos at Chicken Bar is up there, hunkering down for Hurricane Tomas, being part of our giant barracuda costume made from reclaimed cardboard on Halloween….ping pong with Pags… memory lane!
