Remembering Anthony Bourdain

Cambodia
SFS HQ

Anthony Bourdain was a much-needed ambassador for fostering understanding of and appreciation for people and cultures around the world. Thus we at SFS join the worldwide chorus of those saddened by his death. On the final episode of his show ‘Parts Unknown’, shot in Bhutan, film director and SFS Alum and Trustee Darren Aronofsky traveled with Mr. Bourdain as they explored the Land of the Thunder Dragon. They were also joined by Dr. Nawang Norbu, Center Director for the SFS Center for Himalayan Environment and Development Studies, based in Bhutan.

Below is Darren’s tribute to his friend and fellow traveler.
