Staff Profile
My lifelong passion for working in the outdoors with others was cultivated while growing up in Ohio. It started at a summer camp in the Hocking Hills called Camp Wyandot where over the course of 16 summers, I started as a camper, then hired as a counselor and eventually taking on a staff supervisor role. I also got experience leading multiple week long trips for Overland Summers in the coasts and forests of Maine. After graduating with a B.S. from Ohio State University, I soon after traveled to the mountains of Colorado working for a non-profit called Walking Mountains. There, I worked as a naturalist and lead naturalist, creating lessons, interacting with the public and leading backcountry programs in both summer and winter environments. I actually attended the SFS program in Australia and learned a lot about my personal and academic journey while studying there. So I’m excited for the chance to hopefully facilitate those same experiences with our students in the rainforest while I work there! I love to travel, backpack and play disc golf and don’t mind time alone watching a movie or playing some games.
