Staff Profile
Sarah is a nature enthusiast with a degree in Environmental Studies from Rollins College. Her passion for the outdoors started at a young age, spending vacations camping with her family.
In a role as a Land Steward at the Genius Preserve in Winter Park, Sarah engaged in undergraduate research for Rollins, further cementing her passion for ecological research. Her dedication to terrestrial restoration and non-native plant removal led her to become an Americorps member at Lake Louisa State Park. Diversifying her experience, Sarah served as an Environmental Educator and Wilderness Guide for two impactful summers at a camp in Montana. Furthering her experience as an educator, Sarah taught undergraduate-level Earth Science labs at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2020 to 2021.
Before joining SFS in the fall of 2022, Sarah brought her passion for adventure and the outdoors to the realm of marketing, serving as the Marketing Manager for a rock-climbing gym. Since then, she has integrated her interdisciplinary knowledge and skills into SFS Marketing efforts. Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys live music, experimenting in the kitchen, walking or hiking, rock climbing, and spending time with Franklin, her cat.
