Profile

Although I grew up in Kansas, I’ve always had a love for the ocean. I was lucky enough to spend four years on the coast of Maine at Bowdoin College where I studied Government and Environmental Studies. At Bowdoin, I got to spend time at the Coastal Studies Center gaining research experience, leading camping trips, and learning about the Maine coast. While I loved Maine, I wanted to get more involved with marine science in a tropical climate and chose to study abroad at SFS in South Caicos. Here, I was able to merge my interests in environmental science and government and see the importance of field work in informing governance and resource management decisions. By the end of the program, South Caicos felt like my second home, and I knew I wanted to return to South and continue diving. Upon graduation, I advanced my diving skills by earning my divemaster certification in Honduras.

I could not be more excited to bring my passion for the environment and love for South Caicos back to SFS as a waterfront assistant! When I’m not by the ocean, you can find me baking, running, reading, hiking, or camping (but most likely outside).
